Overview:

Oceanview’s Business Analyst will have a key role in providing business insight and guidance during the planning, implementation and release of projects that will have varying levels of complexity and scope. In this role you will also engage with internal team members along with our Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to analyze current processes, identify process improvements and manage the implementation of the improvements to ensure we are meeting defined business goals. The Business Analyst will be expected to have a thorough understanding of current state industry processes including, but not limited to; Agent Appointment/Licensing, New Business Management, Post Issue Processes, and Claims Administration. This is a on-site position in Denver, Colorado.

Responsibilities:

Identify trends, root causes, and gaps from analysis of data and provide timely feedback to associates and management as it pertains to performance and quality standards.

Develop, document, and maintain business reporting that supports business goals to provide to leaders in a meaningful way that will drive key outcomes.

Work collaboratively with business partners and project teams to identify solutions for business needs and problems by heading business initiatives within the project development teams to contribute to overall outcomes and timeline execution.

Ensure ongoing communication with all TPA operation teams including new business, processing and call center teams pertaining to internal and external client facing content, incidents, and operational events.

Make recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology to meeting both client requirements and regulatory needs.

Lead Quality Assurance reviews of call center/processing representative’s performance to recognize quality and performance trends along with providing recommendations for changes to improve accuracy/efficiency and performance. Along with identifying threats in processes or systems to make lasting recommendations on internal controls to mitigate risk exposure. Maintains working knowledge of all applicable products and issuance/administration guidelines with the ability to comprehend and communicate to others.

3 years’ experience working with independent sales organizations.

3 years’ experience working with insurance processes.

Experience with state insurance producer appointment process.

Experience with direct customer interaction.

Experience managing and working in cross-functional teams including external partners.

Qualifications:

3+ years’ experience in data analysis or business process improvement.

Ability to build strong relationships to foster a collaborative working environment.

Excelling written and communication skills.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and be results driven.

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Teams and Outlook).

Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.

Experience in Six Sigma/Lean and Agile methodologies.

Pay and Benefits

Pay range: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually. Salary is determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity.

Discretionary annual bonuses, when paid, are based principally on the evaluations of job performance by those to whom you report. Year-end bonus amounts are subject to change based on individual and company performance – although there is no guaranteed minimum for the year-end discretionary bonus.
