Kimley-Horn's Denver, Colorado (CO) office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 1+ years of experience to join their Water/Wastewater and Utilities team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and develop water and wastewater treatment systems and pumping systems, including process selection and design, equipment specification, technical report writing, and hydraulic design

Projects will include a variety of municipal water and wastewater utilities designs

Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to contribute to the successful completion of assigned projects

Developing and maintaining a high degree of quality sets of plans

Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules

Other responsibilities will include managing project tasks, project permitting, construction coordination, construction observation, and coordinating work with other team members

As a critical member of the team, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions

Qualifications

1+ years of relevant municipal wastewater engineering design experience

Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related Engineering with Water Focus

"Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)

Experience with designing treatment infrastructure, pipelines, storage, and pump stations

Experience with hydraulic modeling calculations and water and wastewater treatment process calculations

Experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit

Communicating technical thoughts clearly and concisely

Technical writing skills

Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment

Ability to work independently and as a team

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $100,000

Eligible for Performance Based Bonus Compensation
