As an Account Manager, you will sell flexible packaging solutions for meat, poultry, and seafood (MPS) to food processors. In this role, you will be the key contact for assigned accounts and with some new business development. The territory is Ontario and Western Canada, with 10 – 15 days per month of overnight travel. In this role, there will be regular exposure to the inner workings of food processing facilities, and you must feel comfortable with the sights and sounds within those facilities as the animals are processed. This sales role is an expansion role, and you will report to the US sales director. The base salary for this position is $130,000 - $140,000 plus bonuses.

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:

• Head Office - Oshkosh, Wisconsin

• Work from home

• Sales territory is across Ontario and Western Canada

EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Min. 7+ years of sales experience

• Relevant experience in technical, sales, and general management within the meat/protein industry or flexible packaging industry is a must-have requirement.

• Bachelor’s degree

• Bilingual in French is an asset but not a prerequisite

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Microsoft Office - Intermediate

• Experience with SalesForce

• Experience with SAP

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES:

• Deliver strategic and sales goals, including profitable year-over-year growth for assigned accounts.

• Increase business with existing and new accounts through prospecting and networking.

• Opens new accounts, expands sales on existing accounts

• Possess detailed knowledge of our client's products, the industry, and the competitive market, enabling the business to solidify itself as an industry leader and fulfill its Winning Aspiration to be the leading global packaging company

• Manage the complexities of account(s) in support of customer needs

• Build relationships with customers based on trust and respect

• Orchestrate and lead key business negotiations, supporting our client's interests and demonstrating an ability to influence decisions and actions

• Report and communicate current performance achievements in terms of sales and marketing contribution to the business unit for monthly management reporting

• Drive forecast accuracy for improved business results

• Manages accounts receivable at acceptable levels with assistance from the credit department

• Work with Strategic Marketing to identify, analyze, and recommend actions to meet strategic unmet customer needs

• Build highly collaborative relationships with your account/s to include senior leadership, procurement, engineering, quality, operations, sales management, support teams, key global contacts, etc., to enhance sales initiatives and profitably while meeting customer need

• Responsible for the management of Account Planning, Pipeline management, profitability improvements, and churn management in the CRM tool

• Coordinates Sales Management, R&D, Marketing, and Field Service in support of validation trials and customer trials

• Communicates competitive developments in their account base regarding marketing strategies, pricing structures, or product performance and communicates intelligence to management through the Monthly Report system

• Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their priority

OVERNIGHT TRAVEL:

• 50-70% of overnight travel (10-15 days/month)
