Financial Personnel
Position Overview:
The Financial Personnel will play a key role in managing financial operations and supporting strategic decision-making processes within the company. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial transactions and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management:
- Oversee financial transactions and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize profitability and minimize risk.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
2. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency.
- Work closely with stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and achieve organizational goals.
3. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to facilitate strategic planning and performance evaluation.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
4. Risk Management:
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to support operational requirements and mitigate financial risks.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain integrity in financial activities.
5. Compliance:
- Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
- Assist in audits and regulatory filings to uphold transparency and accountability in financial operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, ICAN or ICAEW.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management or accounting roles.
- Experience in the mining industry will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and integrity in all financial activities.
