As the Human Resource Manager at Northwest Corp, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of our workforce and company culture.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overseeing all aspects of human resource administration, including maintaining employee records, benefits administration, and handling employee inquiries
Ensuring that all employee folders are compliant, organized, and up to date, in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Reviewing and approving timecards to ensure accurate payroll processing
Addressing any timekeeping discrepancies and resolving issues promptly
Working closely with the accounting department to streamline payroll processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Providing necessary payroll-related information and support as required
Scheduling DOT physicals for employees and tracking them monthly to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Maintaining accurate records of DOT physicals, med cards, and related documentation in the drivers folders
Managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires
Collaborating with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies
Serving as a point of contact for employee relations issues, grievances, and concerns
Providing guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in human resource management, preferably in a construction or related industry
Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations, including employment laws and compliance requirements
Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively interact with employees at all levels
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred, but not required
JOB SHIFT AND SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position with typical working hours between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
