Material Handler Fork Lift Driver

Primary Object of Position:

Our client is looking for a responsible Material handler Forklift Driver for accurate moving, locating, relocating, and storing of materials, utilizing a forklift or other power-operated equipment.

Major Areas of Performance:

Safe and efficient operation of all power-operated equipment that requires certification

Safe and efficient movement of Product (Including loading and unloading trucks)

Accurately pick and pack items for shipment potentially with a forklift

Label and prepare items for shipment

Work with Inventory Control on correct product placement

Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation

Maintain warehouse orders to ensure pallet locations are kept available for incoming items

Ensure all items not required short-term are restocked according to established procedures

Update the Warehouse Management System with transaction

Performs daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedure

Assist with contracting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries

Assist in cycle counting and periodic inventories

Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customers' expectations

Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns

Participate in process improvement by communicating to supervisor and/or team lead

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Support and maintain corporate quality, health, and safety standards, processes, policies, practices, and work instructions. (ISO standards where applicable)

All other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required:

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience required

Forklift experience preferred

Trucks – Swing mast forklift, standard forklift, Stand up order picker (this is different from a stand up forklift)

Current forklift certification and/or ability to become certified within 30 day period required

Basic Math and reading skills

Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions in English

Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy

Ability to work in a team environment

Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and greater weights in a team lift environment

Physical requirements include: lifting, carrying, bending, stretching and standing for long periods of time, ability to handle heights

Type: Full Time -Contingent

Pay Rate: $17.50Hr

Shift: 7-3:30 M-F

Duration – 6 weeks

Start – ASAP
