Maintenance Tech I
Essential Duties & Functions
Be the first responder when an issue is identified, lead the root cause and corrective actions for equipment and quality issues, and escalate as required
Training Systems responsibilities include monitoring of employee training and records, inspection techniques and instruction on task documents
Tracking Systems responsibilities include reviewing, closing and releasing work orders
Perform random audits throughout the shift verifying that quality checks and processes are being performed properly
Responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective preventative and predictive maintenance program which encompasses all plant facilities, equipment and production machinery
Maintain equipment running at peak efficiency to satisfy requirements of the business at all times
Stocking and management of supplies and repair items for the maintenance of the equipment and minimization of down-time
Responsible for designing, evaluating, testing and procurement of new equipment; as well as direct responsibility for the plant capital budget and management of capital projects
Responsible for assisting with plant safety and security programs and help maintain compliance with local, state and federal environmental guidelines
Perform other duties of equal or less complexity as assigned or directed by management
Skills/Qualifications
Ability to set appropriate priorities within the maintenance department and instill sense of urgency to implement action plan and improve site performance
Ability to develop maintenance department in both skill level, ability to respond appropriately to the plant production requirements and team concept with the intent to improve overall plant production efficiency, quality and safety
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
High levels of professionalism with strong attention to detail
Strong oral and written communication skills
