Position Summary

Tacten is seeking professional, energetic and forward-thinking JP Insulators with IRATA certification to support operations at Shell Scotford in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a growing division within Tacten. Do you have experience working as a Insulator and are certified in rope access or interested in becoming certified? Project work and Maintenance work

Candidates must be local to Edmonton or surrounding area

Monday to Thursday, 10 hour shifts

Responsibilities

Install insulation materials, such as foam, fiberglass, or mineral wool, to prevent heat transfer, reduce energy consumption, or control sound.

Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas.

Secure insulation in place using appropriate fasteners and adhesives.

Regularly inspect insulation for signs of wear, damage, or degradation.

Replace or repair insulation that has become compromised.

Recommend and implement improvements or upgrades to enhance insulation performance.

Consult with clients or project managers to determine insulation needs based on factors like temperature requirements, acoustic considerations, or electrical insulation needs.

Provide recommendations on the most suitable insulation materials and techniques for different environments.

Collaborate with construction or maintenance teams to ensure proper installation according to specifications.

Requirements

JM Insulator (if Non-Ticketed a summary of hours must be provided, minimum 4000 hrs.)

IRATA Level 1 or willingness to obtain

Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level

Valid driver's license

Clean driver's abstract

Effective communication in English

Safety Requirements

CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO required

CSE/M (Confined Space and Monitor and Entry) required

ESC Fall Protection an asset
