Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Forklift Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service our fleet of forklifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety. The Forklift Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring that all forklifts are operating safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on forklifts to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs on forklifts, including engine, transmission, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Replace worn or damaged parts and components as needed, following manufacturer's specifications and safety guidelines.

Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts inventory and service logs.

Perform safety inspections and testing on forklifts to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.

Assist in training operators on proper forklift operation and safety procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the maintenance shop.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a forklift mechanic or similar role, preferably in a logistics or warehouse environment.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of forklift systems, components, and maintenance practices.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.

Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation and maintenance.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive or diesel mechanics is a plus.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
