Granite Yard Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out efficiently and profitably.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversees the daily workflow of the stone yard/warehouse.

Schedules and organizes staff to ensure proper staffing.

Trains new warehouse employees.

Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Ensures efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments.

Completes all required management reports.

Executes maintenance activities when needed.

Researches, identifies, and presents new ideas to improve warehouse operations.

Attends and participates in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings.

Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Must be able to operate a forklift (certification can be completed after hire).

Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects in excess of 50 pounds.

Must be able to work independently and as a team.

Basic math skills required (ex.: addition, subtraction, understanding pounds, tons, square feet).

1-2 years previous warehouse experience with tile natural stone experience is a must.

Good communication skills.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.

Extensive knowledge of natural stones.

Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.

Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.

Operate forklift and overhead crane.

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Experience:

At least two years of related experience is required; supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

Forklift.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse.
