Manage to achieve the month-end close timely and accurately by preparing various journal entries and account reconciliations for cash, prepaid, accruals, intercompany and various other accounts.

Coordinate with other departments to obtain transaction information, research reconciling items and resolve issues.

Ensure the posting of all journal entries to business transactions are recorded accurately.

Handle the problems or queries promptly and accurately, referring complex enquires or complaints for assistance.

To assist in any audits taking place and clear any audit points that are raised within the timescale given.

Identify and assist the need for changes to continuously improve quality and efficiency of output.

Stakeholder Management

Co-ordinate with accounting team in day to day activities to ensure the right postings are done in the system to clear the account.

Provide account detail and support and explain variances to internal stakeholders.

Performs the team’s general accounting activities, including creating journals, reviewing transactions and reconciliations of accounts.

Ensure daily production operates within SLA by planning and scheduling work efficiently

Ensure all bank and suspense accounts owned by the area are regularly reconciled, reviewed within SLA and that outstanding items are reduced to a minimum

To support the team to identify opportunities to re-engineer processes, reorganise or absorb work, to constantly improve the service such that efficiency continues to improve, whilst keeping within budget.

Ensure compliance and governance framework is in place to provide adequate audit trail

Ensure all process related documentations are timely updated to show changes.

Be responsible to build constructive rapport with stakeholder through meetings and discussions.

Ensure adequate cross-training within the process.

Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customer outcomes

Demonstrate a positive risk, compliance and control culture through the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of risks and issues within the business area, alongside ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, actions and failures that arise.
