Job Description
Our client is seeking an Install Service Technician to join their team. These are going to be local individuals to the Chicagoland area and an 80-90% traveling role. Our client does have their regional service teams strategically placed around the country but, this person will be picking up local travel and installations (IL, WI, MI, MN, IA, NE, MO, IN) and plane travel when needed. The team is seeking individuals who are independent with excellent work ethics. Someone who is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to self-manage tasks while maintaining a high standard of quality work.
Requirements:
3-5 years of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Technician or similar experience. (military, packaging equipment, food manufacturing w/ similar machines)
Low voltage (24V) and high voltage electrical environments (120V-480V).
Able to read and operate a volt meter.
Read and understand schematics.
Relays and circuit breaker experience
Ability to work safely with automated equipment such as Vertical Form fill and Seal, Combination weighers and cartoners.
Possess an established troubleshooting process that includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software troubleshooting experience.
Able to follow directions and describe issues to the team when needed and fix
Excellent written and oral communication skills: Able to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization with the ability to identify and clarify missing information or unclear requirements.
80-90% travel to surrounding states in the Midwest and some travel throughout the US as needed.
