Job Description
Brief Summary of Position Purpose:
Plan, design, evaluate and implement all aspects of the manufacturing process
Essential Functions:
Daily support of manufacturing equipment and processes, to include any or all of the following:
Assembly, Automation, Robotics
Leak testing
Knowledge of basic machining principles
Welding, brazing, soldering, casting, forging experience is a plus
Design of tooling and fixtures
Capital projects:
Identify needs
Justify investments
Solve complex problems with creative solutions
Project management
Equipment integration
Development of instructional training methods and ability to train others; followed by testing of floor associates where applicable
Continuous evaluation of product flow and processes to identify new opportunities for improvement
Other duties as assigned
Education/Training/Certifications:
Associate Degree in a technical field, Bachelor Degree preferred
Experience:
Minimum five (5) years related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment
Required Skill Sets: (e.g., computer skills, communications, math, etc.)
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Products; Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point, and; Autodesk Inventor, Vault & AutoCAD Mechanical
Knowledge off high volume manufacturing processes and procedures
Strong sense of urgency
Ability to work with hourly production employees as well as management representing all functional areas of the organization
Time management, prioritizing and managing multiple projects to timely completion
Physical Demands: (e.g., lifting, travel, etc.)
Lifting up to 30 pounds
Fast paced production environment
Position requires concentration, accuracy, and focused mental effort
Works in normal office environment with occasional exposure to plant heat, moderate noise, dust, dirt and fumes
May travel to other Sherwood locations as required
