Turner Industries Group, LLC is looking for a Corporate Health and Safety Manager-Technical Programs to join our SH team in Baton Rouge, LA.

Corporate Health and Safety Manager-Technical Programs will be responsible for managing complex technical work by designing, developing and implementing HSE procedures, programs, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements and to eliminate or minimize HSE risks to the Company, its employees, the environment and the communities in which it does business.The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, able to work independently, is self-driven and works well within cross-functional team environments.

He/she appreciates a setting where superior work is encouraged, noticed, and rewarded.Responsibilities: Provide leadership and support the development and implementation of HSE management systems; Ensure the tracking and reporting of HSE metrics, and measure performance against key performance indicators; Analyze data and reports trends and recommend/support plans for corrective action.

Lead incident investigation and communication process including the identification of root causes; Work with the jobsites to implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs necessary to foster a strong HSE culture; Identify HSE training requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements; Deliver HSE training to both Corporate and Field Safety Managers on specialty topics (i.e.

Incident Investigation); Manage policies and procedures for adhering to federal, state and local health, safety and environmental regulations; and Act as liaison between the Corporate HSE Department and Information Technology to ensure that electronic innovations remain on target.

Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience working with HSE compliance and management systems, preferably to include both field-based and Corporate level positions; Undergraduate degree in safety, environmental science, or related field, or CHST/CSP/CIH certification is preferred; Candidate must be computer proficient, able to prioritize tasks, and effectively communicate verbally and in writing with employees and managers; Practical, hands-on experience developing and implementing program elements, compliance initiatives, risk assessment, root cause analysis, and employee engagement; Strong understanding of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, etc.; Experience dealing with federal, state and local regulatory agencies; and Evidence of exceptional ability.
