Position Overview:
This position will provide agency education and instruction on the phone and web-based tools of Johnson & Johnson and USLI. This is a 24-month training and development program, focused on increasing new Property & Casualty insurance submissions, quotes, binders and premium over the web and phone to already appointed independent insurance agents. The geographic territory will be, TN, KY, OH, IN, IL. This position will require extensive travel throughout this territory and will be responsible for conducting a minimum of 20 agency visits per week. The preferred location for this position is Louisville, KY.
Job Responsibilities:
Increasing new submissions, quotes and premium by performing the following:
· Conduct at least 20 meetings with customers (in person or via video) a week to demonstrate web and phone quoting capabilities and register new users in order to drive new business submissions in the door.
· Weekly reporting of sales meetings that occurred each week and the forecasting of meetings scheduled for the upcoming weeks.
· Timely follow up and continuous communication with customers/prospects to find out and take advantage of additional opportunities.
· Systematic prospecting and arranging meetings with potential new customers, and with customers that have not reached their potential.
· Identify and establish a relationship with the key contacts making sure we are doing business with the right people in each retail operation.
· Work with their team to review web activity to spot trends positive and negative and addressing these trends immediately.
· Establish an active relationship with Regional Sales Manager and regularly discuss strategy and tactics including sales issues, travel and follow up.
· Pursue continuing education and insurance designations/licenses as outlined in the training and development plan. This will require self-study.
Education and Work Experience:
· College degree OR equivalent business experience preferred but not required
· Candidates will be expected to pursue continuing education and insurance designations/licenses as outlined in the training and development plan. This will require self-study.
· Strong communication and organizational skills, networking and relationship ability and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
· Remain flexible under the pressure of a heavy workload and critical deadlines
· Open to coaching and continuous improvement
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
General knowledge of the Property-Casualty Industry
Knowledge of J&J Property & Casualty products - ability to differentiate J&J products/services from competitors
Knowledge of USLI Property & Casualty products - ability to differentiate USLI products/services from competitors
Interest in selling products and services based on customer needs
Strong customer service skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Capacity to analyze information and general math skills
General knowledge of all applicable rating systems

Coordination and organization of weekly Agency Visit Schedule and any follow-up items resulting from each agency visit
