Contributes to Vanguard's growth in the ETF market place through the development of new and existing relationships with buy-side ETF clients and ETF liquidity providers.

Core Responsibilities

- Manages relationship with senior level contacts at external firms, investment banks, exchanges, specialist firms, market makers, index providers, and outside vendors.

- Serves as expert on market and trading characteristics. Leverages deep understanding of ETF trading to educate block desks on ETF trading and pricing strategies and opportunities.

- Maintains strong knowledge of portfolio management and risk processes. Leverages knowledge to provide recommendations to regulators, professional bodies, and stock exchanges in regards to market structure and proposed rules in partnership with interested parties. Speaks at industry conferences or Vanguard symposiums.

- Collaborates with Sales and PRD to develop product and market related content for client education and consumption. Provides technical ETF trading training to Sales and clients. Helps shape ETF sales campaigns and lead implementation conversation.

- Analyzes ETF industry trends in the context of, economic, political, regulatory and capital markets developments. Contributes to Vanguard's Capital Markets strategy and supports investment decision-making. Collaborates with internal partners to improve operational and trading aspects of the ETF lineup.

- Supports the fixed income ETF basket creation process for standard and customized baskets.

- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Eight years related work experience, including five years investment management experience. Five years Capital Markets and/or Equity experience preferred.

Undergraduate degree in finance or economics or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
