Position Overview: The Welder at VTF will be responsible for performing various welding tasks to support the manufacturing and repair of temporary fencing products, including industrial panels, hoardings, pedestrian barriers, and pool fences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding with an emphasis on quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Welding and Fabrication:

• Perform welds based on project needs.

• Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.

• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions.

• Fabricate new and innovative fencing solutions, contributing to VTF's commitment to innovation.

2. Repair and Maintenance:

• Conduct repairs on damaged fencing products to ensure they meet VTF's high-quality standards.

• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment and accessories.

3. Quality Assurance:

• Inspect welds to ensure they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.

• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products are defect-free and of the highest quality.

4. Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all workplace safety policies, procedures, and practices.

• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required while performing welding tasks.

5. Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with the production team to meet project deadlines and objectives.

• Provide input on process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications:

• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Welding) or equivalent

• Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or construction environment.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and drawings.

• Strong knowledge of welding safety standards and the use of PPE.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
