Job Description

RFA Engineering is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking a growth-oriented candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility in Mossville, IL.

Electrical Engineer IV

This position will be working to develop electronic components for our customer's Electrification & Energy Solutions Division.

Job Description

Work with machine systems application teams to establish requirements, architecture, and electrical requirements for power electronics components / systems.

Evaluate potential solutions and develop final component selections

Support NTI & NPI programs: communication with NTI/NPI leads; prepare and present design and gateway reviews.

Collaboration with our client’s China team for electrical design, verification & validation plans, functional evaluation.

Play an active role in supplier evaluation, selection, and development– some limited travel will be required.

Execute and support electrical commissioning and testing on purchased components.

Support APQP activities on purchased components in collaboration with suppliers.

Document and resolve field issues.

Procurement, inventory management, and shipment of components.

Identify and work with other Subject Matter Experts on aspects of the design in which team does not have expertise to complete on their own.

The majority of the time will be spent in the office with some lab & site visits required.

Requirements

B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or technology related degree.

Experience with electric drive systems and/or components

Excellent analytical skills; experience with circuit and system simulation and analysis tools

Experience with quality tools including FMEA, APQP & PPAP

Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) Issue resolution process

6+ years experience development experience.

Preferred Skills

Creo (alternative CAD software is acceptable)

TeamCenter experience

Electrical Schematic exposure
