PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Perform the activites, under the governance/guidance of the Program Safety Assurance Manager (PSAM), related to safety assurance in the Projects and Programs. Activities can be related to Project, System, Software, Hardware domains.

Deliver safe solutions (Program and Projects)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Coordinate all the Safety Assurance activities on the project / system / product as per Safety process defined in Signalling Safety Instruction

Perform Safety analysis, manage Hazard Log, review V&V, T&C activities from a Safety perspective

Define safety plan and manage safety workload and associated planning

Support tenders and/or RC teams to integrate product/system in projects

Build the Safety Reports and/or the Safety Cases

Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the project / system / product

Organize and attend periodic Safety Reviews

Defend Safety Case argumentations in front of internal (QS, Safety Assessor) and external (ISA) assessors; define and follow-up action plans to close the findings of the assessors

Manage (if any) the Safety Assurance Engineers involved on the project / system / product (Internal or external resources)

If identified as Safety Leader for a Safety Issue, manage 8D steps as per process

Support actions contributing to close the findings of the assessors (Internal or External)

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Preferable:

Mastering CENELEC Standards for Safety (orequivalent standards AREMA, IEEE, etc ) and safety methodology &concepts/principles

Mandatory:

Educational Requirements : University Degreelevel in Electronics/Telecommunications/SoftwareEngineering/Computer science or equivalent)

Mandatory:

Italian

Fluent English

Mandatory:

Can be a beginner in safety but, depending of the domain, specific experience is required on system, data preparation, hardware or software domain
