Purpose of the Job
Lead System level Design Verification and Validation for Mainline Signalling projects
Define, develop scripts, execute automatic\manual tests
Define, assemble, validate, perform and troubleshoot FIVP
Conduct CFAT, SAT and support site level issues
Organisation Reporting
Hierarchical Reporting: Mainline V&V Group Manager
Functional Reporting: Project V&V Manager / ETCS Trackside Sub-system Manager
Accountable for:
Overall delivery of the V&V scope of work for assigned project
Achievement of Quality, Cost and Delivery targets for the team
Training and guiding V&V team for effective delivery of the project
Responsible for:
Lead project Kick-off meetings, understand the project requirement and identify verification and validation scope of the project
Support V&V Manager in defining Project V&V Strategy, Project V&V Plan
Plan and assign tasks/activities to the V&V team as per the WBS keeping project QCD requirements in mind
Define, assemble, validate, perform and troubleshoot FIVP
Develop Test procedure based on Functional requirements & prepare Test scripts (preferably with VB.NET) based on test procedure
Carry out manual testing or execute Automation test scripts, analyse the results / logs and generate test report
Report any defects found during the V&V activities, make sure that corrected CRs are closed after verification
Raise technical or delivery related risk to V&V Manager
Take ownership of the tasks in hand, Conduct CFAT, SAT and support closing site level issues
Demonstrate agility and flexibility by working on or switching between multiple projects
Knowledge & Experience
Bachelors in Engineering (electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Communication)
>10 years of experience in Railway Signalling projects
Working experience in Smart / computer based / Inteligent interlocking projects
Hands-on with interpreting Scheme Plan, Circuits, Control tables etc.
Strong technical background with knowledge of Signalling principles, testing & commissioning of railway signalling projects (Metro or Mainlines)
Good Communications and interpersonal skills
Time management, reporting
Basic IT Skills such as MS Office, Excel Functions / Macro, VBA scripting. Any Scripting language knowledge is added advantage
English fluency in reading / writing / participating in technical meetings
