About the role

As an Operations Support Officer, you are responsible to cover all aspects of customer service/freight solutions/administration component. You are also responsible to ensure enquiries that cannot be answered during the first call are investigated and resolved quickly and effectively.

What you’ll do

Accurately and efficiently record all client information and record all investigations into appropriate computer systems.

Day to Day housekeeping of inbound freight with further attention requirements

Ensure all customer enquiries are actioned and resolved to company and client satisfaction in a timely manner.

Communicate with clients/contact centre regularly through the course of an enquiry via all platforms (salesforce, phone, email )

Provide feedback to the Supervisor regarding consistent service failures by sub contactors or staff drivers.

Assist in finding solutions to prevent recurrence of service failures.

Support all Admin and FSOL team members in a backup capacity

Ensure enquiries are handled in a professional and prompt manner.

What you’ll bring

Proficiency in data entry and time management.

Computer literacy/knowledge of MS Office computer applications

Excellent team player

Ability to resolve conflict and negotiate solutions to problems quickly

Ability to handle freight – manual lifting of up to 16kgs.

Previous experience in the transport industry is highly advantageous.

Good communication skills both written and verbal and excellent telephone manner.
