Our client is looking to fill the role of Account Manager- Services and Business Development. Cultivate relationships within a designated territory to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives. The primary focus is generation of new account revenue through the identification and development of qualified leads by developing a deep understanding of customer needs. This position will be located on site in the Richmond office.

Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and establish objectives and goals for duties assigned

Identify and capture new business opportunities and develop new relationships with prospective clients to expand sales revenue and market share within assigned territory

Conduct cold calls, face-to-face visits and presentations with clients and prospects in specific market segments

Develop intelligence and background information on prospects, in order to develop targeted presentations which address the prospective client’s needs

Track all customers, prospects, opportunities and all sales activity into CRM system

Develop an understanding of competitors’ products and actions to promote a competitive edge

Provide follow-up to clients to ensure satisfaction with the Company’s products and services provided

Identify and capture market/client trends and communicate findings to management

Continuously improve knowledge of roofing industry by keeping abreast of changes in the market

Participate in sales meetings and training and engage in local and regional associations as warranted

Track and report weekly sales activities to include brief discussion outlines.

Keep an individual record of service calls related to on-boarded customers in the territory executed in the preceding week.

Expense reports are to be submitted monthly, by the 25th, with reimbursement made during the following week’s payable processing.

All other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

3 – 5 years sales experience

Demonstrated success in sales, a strong record of achievement and a proven ability to achieve result

Knowledge and ability to communicate the Company’s strengths and value propositions as the preferred provider of roof solutions

Ability to manage/qualify leads and close business through direct contact or over the phone

Excellent track record in developing relationships with a high degree of integrity and trust

Solid verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills

Problem solving ability so that appropriate solutions can be offered to meet client’s needs

Comfortable with using computer systems to track data, including strong analytical abilities to assess data collected

Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and contract documents, as well as converse comfortably with all levels of the client’s organizatio

Proficient in Microsoft applications including SharePoint and CRM

Sales training methodology such as Sandler

Roofing industry knowledge or experience

Knowledge of business and management principles

Preferred candidate must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment

Previous experience in roofing, construction or a related field sales

Superb communication skills

Superior ability to be persuasive

Construction and roofing industry experience

Sound problem assessment and problem-solving skills

Sound judgment and ability to make decisions

Well organized; Adept at planning work and managing time
