Overview

The Assistant General Manager (Sales) plays a crucial role in driving the sales performance of the organization. They are responsible for assisting the General Manager in developing and executing strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets. This position requires strong leadership skills, sales expertise, and the ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

Support the General Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve business objectives

Oversee the sales team and provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure performance goals are met

Collaborate with the marketing department to develop integrated sales and marketing initiatives

Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement

Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of sales staff

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners

Assist in the development of pricing strategies and negotiation of contracts

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats

Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for management

Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field

Proven experience in a senior sales management role

Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth

Strong leadership and team-building skills

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities

Strategic thinking and planning capabilities

In-depth knowledge of sales principles and practices

Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools

Ability to travel as needed
