Role Description

1. **Network and Security Engineer:**

**Responsibilities:**

- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, ensuring scalability and reliability.

- Monitor network performance and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and security breaches.

- Develop and implement network security policies and procedures, including access control, encryption, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential security risks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure network architectures for new projects and initiatives.

- Stay updated on emerging technologies and security threats, recommending and implementing best practices and solutions to enhance network security posture.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network and security team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

2. **System Administrator:**

**Responsibilities:**

- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and infrastructure services, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

- Monitor system health and performance, diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize disruptions and downtime.

- Implement and enforce security measures, including access controls, authentication mechanisms, and system hardening, to protect against cyber threats.

- Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies, ensuring compliance with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements.

- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and backups, following established change management processes to minimize risk and ensure data integrity.

- Automate routine administrative tasks through scripting or configuration management tools, improving efficiency and reducing manual effort.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement IT infrastructure projects, providing technical expertise and support as needed.

3. **Database Administrator:**

**Responsibilities:**

- Install, configure, and administer database management systems (DBMS), ensuring optimal performance, availability, and data integrity.

- Design and optimize database structures, schemas, and indexes to support efficient data storage and retrieval.

- Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures, including user access controls, encryption, and audit logging.

- Monitor database performance and capacity, identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal performance and scalability.

- Plan and execute database backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures, ensuring data availability and integrity.

- Collaborate with application developers to design and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures for performance and scalability.

- Stay updated on database technologies and best practices, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance system reliability, security, and performance.

4. **Helpdesk Support Engineer:**

**Responsibilities:**

- Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users via phone, email, chat, or ticketing system, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to productivity.

- Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate IT teams or vendors for resolution, following established escalation procedures.

- Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems, software applications, and peripheral devices, ensuring compatibility and security compliance.

- Assist with user account management tasks, including account provisioning, password resets, and access permissions, following established security policies.

- Document support activities, solutions, and troubleshooting procedures in knowledge base articles or documentation, facilitating knowledge sharing and problem resolution.

- Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT systems, applications, and best practices, promoting user self-sufficiency and empowerment.
