Senior Data Engineer with Informatica expereince - HYDERABAD/CHENNAI/anywhere in India

We're seeking a Data Engineer to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be developing and maintaining ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Informatica products like PowerCenter, Power Exchange, and Data Replication, as well as Python for data acquisition. You'll collaborate with onsite Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand business requirements and translate them into effective ETL solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and implement ETL processes using Informatica tools to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our Enterprise Data Hub or target systems.

Create and maintain documentation including ETL specifications, data mappings, and process workflows.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration, data quality, and performance in data acquisition workflows.

Ensure smooth operation of Informatica ETL processes, including monitoring performance and ensuring data quality in production environments.

What you'll bring:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

8+ years of experience in data engineering with Informatica PowerCenter, Power Exchange & Data Replication.

Hands-on experience in Change Data Capture (CDC) and real-time data loads.

Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL and no-SQL databases.

Proficiency in handling various file-based acquisitions like Flat files, Fixed-width, JSON, XML.

Hands-on experience in Python or similar programming languages.

Basic experience in Unix bash shell scripting and/or PowerShell scripting.

Familiarity with data modeling, data catalogs, data formats, and data pipelines/ETL design.

Experience with code management using CI/CD pipelines & Git Repository.

Understanding of data management principles and best practices.

Required Technical Skills:

Informatica PowerCenter, Power Exchange for CDC.

Advanced SQL skills.

Python for data acquisition from different APIs.

Unix Shell scripting.

Nice to have Technical Skills:

Informatica Data Replication.

Apache Airflow.

Git Repository, Jenkins.

Automation skills using scripting languages.
