As a CAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in translating concepts into detailed designs that meet industry standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities:

Design and Modeling:

Interpret project briefs and conceptualize viable designs for base frames, canopies, and electrical cabinets.

Create 2D and 3D models using SolidWorks software.

Ensure accuracy, feasibility, and adherence to design specifications.

Sheet Metal Expertise:

Apply in-depth knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques.

Understand material properties, thicknesses, and finishes.

Incorporate design features for ease of manufacturing and assembly.

Dimensions, Tolerances, and Welding Symbols:

Precisely define dimensions, tolerances, and geometric constraints.

Use industry-standard welding symbols to communicate assembly details.

Ensure designs are manufacturable within specified tolerances.

Collaboration:

Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers.

Address feedback and modify designs as necessary.

Collaborate on design optimization and cost-effective solutions.

Electrical Cabinets:

Familiarity with electrical cabinet design principles.

Integrate electrical components into sheet metal structures.

Ensure proper cable routing, ventilation, and safety features.

Quality and Compliance:

Review designs for compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Perform design checks to minimize errors and rework.

Participate in design reviews and approvals.

Documentation and Organization:

Maintain an organized database of CAD drawings.

Document design changes, revisions, and versions.

Prepare detailed assembly instructions and bill of materials (BOM).

Continuous Learning:

Stay updated on the latest SolidWorks features and industry trends.

Attend workshops, webinars, and training sessions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a CAD Designer in sheet metal manufacturing.

Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.

Knowledge of electrical cabinet design principles.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
