Role Summary

The Digital Manufacturing (DM) Team's mission is to simplify processes and experiences to drive Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) outcomes. DM is responsible for the digital transformation of all processes across shop floor, quality control, quality assurance, engineering, environment, health, and safety operations. Our programs are led by user experience and design thinking to understand the journeys that our PGS customers are working through daily. DM leads a focus on innovative technology implementation across PGS sites including a digital lean production system, sensors, Industrial Internet of Things, wearables, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality solutions. DM drives efficiencies in end-to-end operations by embedding predictive and prescriptive insights from artificial intelligence into our manufacturing, quality and cross-functional applications. The Quality Control (QC) Solutions team within Digital Quality is responsible for the core solutions within the Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) Quality Control area. We are driving towards a fully integrated lab systems environment, where data is seamlessly communicated throughout the QC ecosystem (and beyond), duplicative transcription removed, and true release by exception with automated release can be realized while increasing compliance. A key piece of delivering on this strategy is to enable analytic capabilities that allow global quality and site quality control teams to effectively manage, monitor and optimize operations. The Manager, QC Analytics – Solution Owner will be responsible to oversee the development & maintenance of QC analytic capabilities, they will work with the solution lead & business to determine the overall vision for QC Analytics and then assist in implementing the technical strategy & roadmap to move Lab Ops towards that vision.

Role Responsibilities

The Manager, QC Analytics – Solution Owner responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Demonstrate agile ways of working.

Maintain & prioritize a QC Analytics user story, enabler & defect backlog for solution to effectively manage the technical design, development and delivery of new data analytics tools.

Collaborate with the Digital Quality Core Engineering Team to assess technology capabilities and architecture requirements

Collaborate and set expectations with business, scrum master and development team

Ensure work tasks are completed on schedule to a high-quality standard & within configuration guidelines

Continuously improve work processes

Manage contract developers & testers ensuring their work meets configuration & quality standards.

Provide L4 technical support & deployment hypercare support for solution once in use at PGS sites.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's BS in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.

5-10 years of technical / project experience in a Lab systems environment

Strong understanding of Databases (Oracle/SQL Server/Snowflake etc.) table structures / table relationships, query the data tables, create visualizations using tools such as Tableau / Spotfire/ Python/ D3/JS etc.

Experience in all stages of system and application lifecycle from value analysis, business case development, solution deployment through value realization.

Strong understanding of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) process using one or more of the ETLs tool like Informatica IICS, Biovia Pipeline Pilot, Python, AWS tools

Good written and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders

Experience operating in a DevOps environment.

Experience of modern software engineering, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, documentation and releasing. Good experience in MS Office Products (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Agile, (SAFe preferred)

An understanding of the Quality Control laboratory business area

An understanding of system GMP requirements and demonstrable knowledge of computer system design and maintenance lifecycle in GMP environments.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to manage many parallel objectives and changing priorities. Working with various stakeholders from multiple groups.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS Ability to travel up to 20%. Ability to meet with colleagues virtually across different regions Flexible working schedule will be needed on occasion to accommodate planned agile sprint planning and system releases as well as unplanned/on-call support.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to Digital Quality, Solution Lead QC Analytics

Work in collaboration with other Digital & Technology groups within and outside Digital Manufacturing on definition, design, technical build, deployment, embed & optimization of the solutions.
