Senior Electronics & Electrical Design Engineer- Secure Power Division, Energy Management

Key Responsibilities And Functions

Engineer is r esponsible for performing sustaining engineering activities for single phase power distribution systems, micro data center products, such as Rack Power Distribution Unit (RPDU), Rack Automatic Transfer Switch (Rack ATS) and Ecostruxure Micro Data Centers(MDC). Core function of job is to drive investigation and resolution of issues that negatively affect the quality,performance, and reliability of these products.

Responsible for system integration, power panel and wiring harness, BOM creation & management, single line diagrams.

Create Test set ups to support the validation of parts and products as part of continuous improvements.

Knowledge on subsystems like UPS & Battery, Cooling products and communication protocols like I2C, RS232, Modbus, SPI & CAN is essential.

Responsibilities will include support of Manufacturing plants, Engineering Teams, Offer Management and Offer Quality group through corrective actions to resolve manufacturing/field issues and bringing in new features.

Other responsibilities will include qualifying new/revised partsto resolve supply chain, quality and cost issues(QVE, EOL.. etc), generation and implementation of Engineering Change Orders and performing competitive product analysis during pilot builds and present the same in pilot reviews. Perform part level and product level tests including reliability and environmental tests.

Provide failure analysis of returned products with quick turnaround analysis for critical customers. Implement design changes through ECO/CNs.

Design of experiments to support in simulating critical field failures and analyze root cause.

Represent sustaining engineering in design reviews with New Programs.

Develop and update part drawings using AutoCAD, Visio, Coreldraw or Cadkey or Solidworks.

Understanding of BOM structure, making changes in BOM and implementation changes with pilot validation process is essential.

Education- Minimum Required Level

Bachelor's and Masters degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering or equivalent.

Experience- Minimum Required

810 years of industrial experience in the field of power electronics, Energy Management, Sustaining engineering or relevant product experience.

Knowledge And Skills-required

Strong knowledge and experience in single and three phase power electronics, distribution, and control devices.

Ability to understand the product functioning from schematics and perform part/product testing and analysis.

Ability to work with lab equipment like, Oscilloscopes, NHR Load equipment, logic analyzers and AC/DC power sources.

Should have good analytical and problem solving skills in resolving complex technical issues using 7 Step, 6 Sigma or 8D methodologies.

Should have good knowledge on tools like FMEA, RCA, FTA, CTQ..etc

Exposure to Regulatory and Compliance standards.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Good interpersonal communication skills and experience in working with global teams.

Be able to work effectively in cross functional teams.
