Job Description
Position Title: Zone Manager
Reports to: Director of Operations
Description:
Coordinate the activities of employees to help ensure that they achieve the assigned tasks and objectives at multiple locations. The essential duty is to lead the facility teams to successful day-to-day results. The Zone Manager will oversee the cleaning staff and the janitorial supplies used to keep the facilities clean, maintained and orderly.
Qualifications:
Previous janitorial experience
Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends as needed
High school diploma or GED
Background screening
Must be 21 years of age or older
Based on job location, other pre-hire conditions will be required
Valid driver’s license, and clean driving record
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assigns janitorial duties to employees and regularly inspects their work to ensure standards are met.
Assist with facility training and guidance for new employees.
Assist in developing goals and work standards.
Conduct routine site visits to inspect facility cleanliness and to ensure standards are being maintained.
Deliver excellent and prompt customer service when handling clients requests.
Deliver emergency supplies and equipment to different facilities to ensure the job is completed.
Operate mechanical janitorial equipment including but not limited to: buffers, carpet extractor, walk behind scrubbers, riding scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, propane burnisher, etc.
Provide technical assistance to staff as needed or notify manager.
Develops a regime that fits each facility and or staff in its own standard, to ensure that the necessary standard are being followed
Ability to work additional hours in the instance when coverage is needed.
Manages resources, sets expectations for service, and exerts quality control over custodial services to ensure responsiveness to facility needs
Ordering cleaning supplies and restocking the janitorial closet
Maintaining a thorough inventory of supplies
Working outside in the elements when necessary.
Completion of all assigned work tasks.
Always wearing company uniform appropriately.
Reporting issues including special projects, damaged materials or tools, and safety hazards to the Director of Operations
Make sure the establishment is clean and meets all safety requirements.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Additional duties as assigned.
