Job Details

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-12:30PM

Timeline: June 20th - July 20th; ongoing work available

Work Locations: Various LAUSD school sites

Job Highlights

Pay rate:

$22 per hour standard

$23 per hour if bilingual (Spanish or other preferred language based on site request)

$24 per hour if credentialed teacher or certificated tutor

Potential to work 80 hours during the LAUSD summer period

Those looking for full-time hours will be eligible for LA County Library tutoring in the afternoon, based on location

Bonus for outstanding attendance

Gas reimbursement when working multiple programs

Opportunity to work year around with LAUSD and other school districts

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum of 60 units of college credits with a minimum of 1 year of tutoring exp. (preferably Math and ELA)

Established proficiency in subject matter

Detail-oriented and highly dependable

Ability to communicate effectively

Motivation and passion to help students achieve academic excellence

Must have reliable transportation for in-person tutoring. If driving, proof of insurance for your vehicle is needed

Must clear reference check & FBI/DOJ background check processes

Must provide a negative tuberculosis test (valid within the last 2 years)

Please provide a copy of any certification you hold such as a Teacher’s Credential/Certification or Tutor Certification

National Tutoring Association certification available to StudentNest tutors
