RER Solutions, Inc., is accepting resumes for an Energy Market Policy Advisor to join our superior workforce to support The?Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED)’s mission to deliver clean energy demonstration projects at scale in partnership with the private sector to accelerate deployment, market adoption, and the equitable transition to a decarbonized energy system. The Energy Market Policy Advisor will support OCEDs Market and Energy Analysis team within the Portfolio Strategy Division.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Engage with project developers and the policy community to explain and gather feedback on policy implications, including incentives and regulation, for OCED’s portfolio

Support conducting market research and analysis to shape DOE’s view on key policy decisions to best catalyze clean energy deployment

Track, review, analyze, and report on legislation and policy matters that will affect DOE’s portfolio

Develop familiarity and expertise in clean energy project finance to support briefings on policy implications to internal and external stakeholders and to inform program design

Support strategic and quick-turn analyses that consider the potential impacts of specific policy dimensions on clean energy technology project commercialization momentum

Support development of briefing materials (written documents and verbal briefings) for senior leadership that contextualize key analysis takeaways and decision factors Requirements:

Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust

2+ years of experience in policy role (e.g., Congressional office, think tank, research)

Experience in Energy or natural resources desired

Excellent ability to understand and synthesize information into the most important takeaways

Strategic thinker with strong capacity to self-direct attention to highest priority dimensions of a multi-faceted problem

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of fundamental business writing

Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree
