How You Will Contribute:

What do we do, and what will you do?:

The Content Development team researches, plans, creates, develops, writes, edits, and updates various software and hardware documentation, including product descriptions, installation manuals, operation and administration manuals, user guides, and reference guides.

You will assist the Content Strategy team with technical graphic illustration requirements to support Ciena’s Technical Publications team for their software and hardware documentation deliverables.

Tasks include (not limited to):

Create, update, and modify a wide range of graphics for technical product illustrations using software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or Microsoft Visio in alignment with the established structure.

Coordinate and communicate with various team members as necessary to understand the work request and the timeline for completing the job.

Create job aid, either video and/or online documentation on confluence (and/or PDF).

File management: Consolidate and move existing graphic illustrations to the target location.

Export source graphics to supported formats (.png, .svg, .jpg)

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Self-starter with excellent communication skills.

Detailed oriented and organized.

Working expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or Visio is preferred.

Ability to transition between changing priorities and requirements.

Seasoned skills in problem-solving and judgment.

Effective time management skills (prioritize and manage multiple projects) to meet the required deadlines.
