Luminator is seeking to fill our full-time HR Generalist role to join our growing and dynamic Human Resources team where you will be an integral part of the team by providing valuable input as we work toward assessing and implementing goals and mission of the department and Luminator.

Join our dynamic HR team as an HR Generalist, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Process, verify, and maintain documentation related to staffing, training, performance evaluations, grievances, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.

Record and manage employee data, including addresses, earnings, absences, sales or production, supervisory reports, and termination details.

Communicate personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees and job applicants.

Administer employee benefit programs and worker’s compensation plans.

Handle inquiries regarding exams, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.

Organize and conduct new employee orientations.

Manage benefits administration and building access, including preparation of badges and security-related duties.

Maintain employee files, respond to inquiries, and provide information for personnel actions.

Prepare reports and documents related to HR activities.

Manage job application processes, including notification of job acceptance or rejection.

Coordinate scheduling for job postings.

Conduct background checks and gather information to assess applicants' employment suitability.

Administer assessments for applicants and employees.

Coordinate both in-house and external training sessions.

Serve as the communication point for HR-related announcements and materials.

Other job duties as required.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

This professional will possess:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.

Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years as a Generalist preferred.

Technology Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Prior experience with HRIS and ATS, ADP Workforce Now and JazzHR strongly preferred.

Skills and Abilities: PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 1 year.LOCATION:

Plano is a city in the state of Texas, just north of downtown Dallas. It is a hub for many corporate headquarters and has been rated by Forbes as the safest city in 2011. Plano has many visitors, 80% of which are business travelers. The Preston Road area is home to major corporate headquarters of Fortune 1000 companies which have brought thousands of jobs to the area.

Plano has two major space reserves: Arbor Hills Nature Preserve (200 acres) and Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve (800 acres). Bob Woodruff Park and Oak Point Park are connected by biking trails providing an abundance of outdoor recreation for families in Plano. These parks also include activities such as zip lining and Tarzan swings. They have five recreation centers that feature pools, dog parks, and amphitheaters for entertainment. This represents 84 parks. They feature an annual balloon festival every September that draws thousands.

Collin College has two campuses in Plano. Southern Methodist University (SMU) and Dallas Baptist University also have campuses in Plano. There are 70 public schools and 16 private schools. Plano has more graduates than other comparable communities in Texas, graduating 93% of their classes, and score 18 percentage points higher than the same population in Dallas. Many graduate as National Merit Scholars.

Plano is served by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). They provide commuter services via bus and light rail systems. The system is used by 1% of the population.

As far as arts, culture, and entertainment, Plano is home to over 700 restaurants. There is a thriving downtown scene that is rated in the top ten within the country. This includes new office spaces as well as major retail establishments. Plano is a major, busy, bustling city and one of the best places in the United States to live.
