Job Description

The Project

ACCIONA has been selected to deliver Western Harbour Tunnel – Stage 2, Sydney’s third harbour crossing. The new Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) will connect to WestConnex at the Rozelle Interchange, cross underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton, and connect with the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney.

Project scope includes:

Construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each direction

Civil, Mechanical and Electrical fitout of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnels

Surface level work, including on and off ramps and tie-in work to the Warringah Freeway

In line with the above, ACCIONA is now looking for a PMCS Engineer to join the team at our main office in North Sydney, this role will be required to…

Key accountabilities for the position:

Oversee the design and development of tunnel plant management control systems/subsystems.

Collaborate with mechanical and electrical designers to develop plant control philosophy.

Review design documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Requirements management using the software tool JIRA.

I/O schedule development.

Required Skills and Competencies

Capability & Experience you will need to have:

Prior experience in a similar position and hold relevant qualifications

Prior project experience

Knowledge of control systems, PLC programming and commissioning

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles

Knowledge of systems engineering processes and principles desirable

Strong presentation and communication skills

Ability to work effectively within in a multi-disciplined design team
