Responsibilities:

● Provide technical leadership to the team and implement and maintain consistent

engineering processes.

● Generate reports to track progress, and identify slippages well in time for the stakeholders to act appropriately.

● Ensuring teams have clear priorities and adequate resources.

● Identify training needs and provide the support required while giving periodic feedback.

● Ensure that the team members adhere to time management while providing them flexibility.

● Introduce & continuously improve the best practices in software development, methodologies and coding standards; institute change when necessary and appropriate.

● Promote and train engineers in engineering best practices.

● Reviews quality metrics and executes on remediation plans.

● Participate in the global management meetings.

● Work directly with Product Management to translate requirements into concrete

implementation plans.

● Keeps the entire team and stakeholders up to date on the status, expectations, and direction for the activities being managed.

● Recognizes, addresses, and escalates impediments within the team.

● Occasionally contributing to development tasks, feature verifications to assist teams with release commitments, to gain an understanding of the technical product as well as to keep technical acumen sharp.

● Hire, mentor, and train leads.

● Create and monitor measurable quarterly objectives for Leads & teams.

● Create a culture of collaboration and excellence in work ethic.

● Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

● Bachelors Or master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.

● Proficient in JavaScript with knowledge of Spring ecosystem.

● Hands-on experience with cloud technologies like AWS, GCP.

● Experience in NoSQL databases like MongoDB/ Elastic search.

● Knowledge of software engineering best practices including coding standards, code reviews, testing, and operations

● An up-to-date knowledge of software technologies.

● Excellent problem solving & troubleshooting skills is required.

● Ability to handle escalations and drive stakeholder communications and Management.

● Good experience in providing analytics & metrics on team performance.

● 4+ years of experience leading a team of 10-15 engineers preferred.

● Agile management experience preferred.

● Experience working on Web Application is desired.
