For our site in Dreieich, Germany, we are looking for a Manufacturing/Plant Manager - Immunohematology (m/f/d) - 100%.
How You'll Make an Impact: Manage operations on a FDA regulated manufacturing plant:
Ensure yearly production plan and avoid product shortage
Ensure quality of products, customer satisfaction as well as compliance to GMP, corporate guidelines (FCPA, SOX), regulatory and international authority requirements (FDA, ISO, TÜV, GMED, etc).
Trend, report and improve manufacturing KPIs
Drive and improve manufacturing financials: standard cost, manufacturing variance, spending, scrap, inventory target & turns
Lead and develop a team of 6 direct reports with a scope of approx. 90 indirect reports.
Drive process optimization
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by use of appropriate methodologies (5S, DMAIC, 6 Sigma, Kaizen, VSMā¦)
Responsible for CAPEX investments and budgets
Manage the Manufacturing infrastructure and premises: ensure clean, safe, well-organized and well-maintained manufacturing operations, and support EHS initiatives
Part of the Site Management team, and representative in front of work council, governmental authorities, clients, suppliers, etc.
Partnership with key stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and good business partnership within Bio-Rad
What you bring:
15+ years experience of Manufacturing production and Supply Chain, with experience operating in a GMP and FDA regulated environment (In Vitro Diagnostic, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device)
10+ years of leadership/management experience in a matrix organization
Experience and knowledge of quality systems, materials management, planning, production, cost reduction initiatives, project management, engineering/automation, new products introduction, product transfer, and production scale up.
Lean/continuous improvement expertise
Strong leadership skills
Experience collaborating with work council
Fluent in German and English
