Mission and responsibilities:

Our translation team is currently seeking for a Localisation Specialist for the Dutch Market. They will ensure localisation of all content (web, app, marketing, legal…) from Spanish and English into Dutch, so that it resonates with target audiences in the Netherlands and is linguistically, culturally, and functionally engaging.

This entails in-house translations/localisation, proofreading translated content, performing quality checks and linguistic testing, and providing continuous feedback to external language service providers as part of ongoing quality control.

In addition to the linguistic component of the role, the successful candidate will help manage Openbank’s website and digital platforms in their respective languages, working with a Content Management System (CMS) and other tools to create, upload, and review digital content.

The successful candidate will work closely with other non-linguistic in-house teams and manage incoming demands autonomously. They must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing tight deadlines, both independently and in conjunction with vendors. The ability to seamlessly work with both technical and non-technical profiles and a desire to learn new tools, processes and concepts are essential for this position.

The main tasks of this position will be the following:

Ensure translation and localisation of complex projects, working closely with vendors and other in-house-departments.

Manage day-to-day interactions with language service providers, ensuring quality levels and project deadlines.

Manage linguistic resources: style guide, glossaries, translation memories, etc.

Create and upload content to digital platforms using the Content Management System (CMS) and other tools.

Test Openbank’s websites and apps for linguistic quality and identify and solve localisation issues.

To be successful in the role you must have

Bachelor's Degree in Translation/Localisation/Applied Linguistics

Native speakers of Dutch, as well as full professional proficiency in Spanish and English. Grammar nerds welcome!

+2 years of experience directly related to the localisation/translation industry for the Dutch market.

Proficient use of CAT Tools, translation memory software, linguistic quality assurance tools, and Content Management Systems (CMS) (desirable).

Quality and detail-oriented.

Strong organisational skills.

Able to multi-task and work well under pressure with a can-do attitude.

Problem-solving capabilities.

Self-starter and pro-active.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.

Strong team player in a multi-language/multi-cultural environment.

Interest in continuing to learn about new technologies and new tools.
