Estimator - Heavy Civil

GPAC is looking for a talented Estimator to join a Heavy Civil team in Branford, CT!

You MUST have experience estimating in a Heavy & Civil or Marine construction field in order to be considered for this job!

This position is for a rock solid, long-standing heavy & civil contractor in Branford CT. They have been around for almost 200 years, and do work in almost all aspects of heavy and civil construction. They are offering a very competitive compensation package and a chance to grow within the company.

Estimator Requirements:

5+ years as a Heavy Civil/Marine estimator

3+ years as a Super, PM, or Foreman (preferred)

Willing to work mostly (at least 3 days a week) on site in Branford, CT

Computer literacy

Engineering background would be preferred

This position will consist of taking off work from plans and estimating projects, doing prequalification submittals, schedules and other submittals required for bidding. It will also include researching projects out for bid. The work performed includes pile driving, concrete, site work, deep excavations, DOT, utilities, sewer and water supply, underground electrical duct banks, large vault and substation work. On the marine side, it will include docks, sheet piling, pile driving, stone breakwaters and revetments, etc. Also some millwrighting and rigging work including moveable bridge repairs, and power plant work. You don't need experience in all of these fields, just Heavy Civil construction experience!
