Return to Office:

As of March 2022 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 2 days a week, while spending the other 3 days in the office.

As an analyst within the Loyalty Marketing Team at Loblaw, you will join a group moving Canada's largest and most loved loyalty program forward.

As a Co-op Analyst, PC Optimum Marketing, you will support the PC Optimum Marketing team with campaign and audience strategy, reporting, and measurement. Your value-added analysis and recommendations will facilitate discussion & decisions related to marketing programs. Your role will also partner closely with cross-functional teams within Loyalty and Marketing, providing great exposure to different functions within Loblaw.

Please note this position is based out of Loblaw's Downtown Toronto office (500 Lake Shore Blvd W). The successful applicant will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week, and virtually for 2 days per week.

What You'll Do:

Complete regular analyses and support execution of weekly deployments, big bet campaigns and ad-hoc testing to ensure reliability, credibility and viability of conclusions and recommendations

Support the translation of marketing requests and questions into analytical problems. Requests can be strategic or tactical in nature, including but not limited to targeting, sizing, segmentation, development of dashboards, reports, and measurement

Report and visualize key business performance metrics to drive and support strategic decisions

Develop concise strategic customer insights from data analysis

Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting

Support extraction, review, and preparation of complex operational and customer behavior information from a variety of databases (GCP, Teradata, Looker, etc)

Use Cloud based SQL/Python environment to process big data (including customer, transaction, channel data etc.), conduct analysis, and visualizing the results

Across all of the above responsibilities, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including but not limited to marketing, digital and tech teams

What You'll Need:

Be enrolled in 2nd or 3rd university, working toward a degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science

Ability to synthesize large amount of data into insights

Strong intuition for business

Curiosity and willingness to ask questions

Strong communicator skills and comfortable collaborating within cross-functional team

Excellent organization ability to stay on top of a multifaceted and fast paced business, while leading multiple assignments at a time

Strong teammate and self-starter

Strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and quality

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel

Basic knowledge of SQL is a must, Python is an asset

Capability to adapt to and learn new analytical tools such as GCP BigQuery, Audience Segmentation tool, Looker, etc.

Experience in Retail is an asset
