Job Summary
The Workday integration and reporting analyst is an expert in developing integrations and reports for the Workday platform, which supports Human Capital Management, Financial Management and Student Administration. The role requires strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities to create both automated and manual solutions. The role collaborates with other team members, business partners, and vendors to meet Marymount’s integration and reporting needs. This is an onsite position in Arlington, Virginia.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze, design, develop, test and implement reports and integrations between third party vendors and Marymount University applications
Design, build, test and deploy Workday integration solutions using Enterprise Interface Builder, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect and Workday Studio
Design, build, test and deploy Workday reports and dashboards using Prism Analytics, Advanced Report and Composite Reporting
Perform risk analysis, lead key functional stakeholders and vendor through impact analysis, release enhancements, change requests and product upgrades
Understand and follow data governance standards and ensure attention to data quality
Understand and follow defined integration/development standards and best practices
Understand and ensure security and data privacy standards
Ensure secure and data integrity across the Workday platform
Understand data structures, values and transformations as needed
Develop new or make changes to existing integrations and reports
Monitor, identify and resolve integration, reporting and data issues
Provide daily and on call production support
Monitor Workday Community for new release functionality
Analyze and manage Workday releases across the platform
Coordinate with business units to design and maintain testing strategies during new cycles, and maintain documentation of new features and functionality
Build and execute regression and acceptance teste scenarios working closing with business subject matter experts
Participate in change management and go live support during upgrades; help maintain end user training and job aids
Perform project management functions by providing project effort estimates, target dates, and planning and organizing development tasks
Work on multiple projects and competing priorities
Other Duties and Assignments
Foster ongoing Workday relationships and knowledge thru relevant memberships and engagement in Workday Community, User Groups and Conferences
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or related experience sufficient to enable the candidate to perform the duties of the position
Experience
2+ years of Workday specific experience, preferably in a higher education setting
Working knowledge of HR, Finance and Accounting best practices
Experience with Workday Integrations (Studio, Enterprise Integration Builder, Connectors, etc.)
Understanding of the Workday data model and corporate system architecture
Experience with Web Services and APIs
Database querying and data transformation experience (i.e., Excel, Access, SQL, etc.)
Experience with integration design and relational database technologies
Experience with Workday Prism Reporting, Advanced Reporting and Composite Reporting
Detailed understanding of Workday reporting processes and best practices
Experience leading integration and reporting design
Experience dealing with complex and large data sets in multiple sources to support analytical processes
Ability to convey ideas and recommendations to a wide variety or audiences at all levels
Ability to work and build relationships with third parties
Self-starter, independent, team-player, proactive
Strong expertise in cloud based multi-tenant systems
Workday certifications strongly preferred
