Caregiver / PCA Over Requested by Client for Companion Care

Job Description

BrightStar Care of Midtown Raleigh has an immediate need for a caregiver or PCA to provide companion care. The client is requesting a companion over 55.

Job Requirements

Provide companion to client

Document plan of care requirements and time and attendance

Input shift availability at least 2 weeks in advance

Start shift on-time and complete all plan of care tasks

Notify the Director of Nursing of client changes or concerns

Provide a safe environment and promote quality care through adherence to established policies, procedures and standards

Ensure client's rights are adhered to. These include but are not limited to:

the right to privacy and dignity while care is being provided

the right to accept or refuse care

the right to confidentiality of their information

Respond rapidly and appropriately in an emergency situation

Use equipment properly and in a safe manner

Qualifications

Valid NC license (CNA's)

Current TB Test

Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA Regulations

Valid Drivers License and Have Reliable Transportation with Appropriate Insurance

Display outstanding communication and empathy for our clients
