Position Summary:
Evaluate the quality of manufactured and distribution products in accordance with customer requirements and RG Groups Quality Management System. This role includes documentation, inspections, compliance, and process improvement initiatives to support our QMS.
Essential Functions:
Perform incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections with appropriate documentation
Create, implement, and maintain Quality Inspection criteria and procedures.
Revise procedures and work instructions
Assist with FAI, PPAP, and other quality tests as needed
Assist with compliance such as Reach, Rohs, conflict minerals, etc
Assist with NCRs and Corrective Actions as needed
Maintain quality control records.
Participate in the generation of PFMEA's control plans, and process flow diagrams.
Monitor calibration requirements on tools/gages and maintain records.
Report quality anomalies to the supervisor.
Collate test data and drafting quality reports.
Identify possible areas for improvement in QA and production processes.
Work with the quality team on other projects and daily functions of the quality department as needed
Knowledge, skills and abilities (minimum job competencies required for the job):
Problem solving
Proficient with Word and Excel
Detail oriented
Mechanical aptitude
Understanding of measurements and ability to learn test methods and tools
Working conditions:
Climate controlled warehouse and production area
Some travel may be necessary to supplier or RG facilities
Minimum qualifications:
High school degree required; 2-year technical degree preferred
2+ years’ experience as an inspection or quality technician
Familiarity with blueprints and measuring instruments sufficient to determine conformance to specifications.
Experience with Windows based software including Word and Excel.
ISO certification experience is a plus.
