Job Description

Axelrode Orthodontics in Moraga, CA is seeking a skilled Registered Dental Assistant/Orthodontic Assistant (RDA/OA) to join our team. As an RDA/OA, you will play a vital role in supporting our orthodontists and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. You will work closely with patients, providing assistance during orthodontic procedures and helping to create a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

Schedule

This is a full-time position

Monday through Friday - no weekends

8am to 5pm

Key Qualifications & Skills

Must have current CA certified RDA license or OA license

At least 1 year of Orthodontic assisting experience

Current X-ray license

Outgoing, positive, upbeat, and friendly personality

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong work ethic

Reliable transportation and dependable

Key Responsibilities

Assist orthodontists during patient consultations, examinations, and treatments.

Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment to ensure a clean and safe environment.

Take patient records, including X-rays, photographs, and impressions.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care instructions.

Perform basic orthodontic procedures, such as fitting bands, brackets, and archwires.

Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans as directed by the orthodontist.

Provide exceptional customer service and address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.

Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.

Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices in orthodontic care.
