Machine Operator - 3rd shift

Job Description

Job Overview: The Machine Operator position is responsible for the set-up, operation and tending of extrusion lines throughout the plant.

General Tasks:

Set-up, start-up and run extrusion machines to maintain production and reach production goals per hour.

Cleaning and basic maintenance of the equipment

Observing machine operations to detect any machine malfunctions.

Checking the finished products coming off of the line.

Packaging the finished product when needed.

Completion of production reports.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Communicate with team members and supervisors frequently.

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Requirements

Plastics extrusion experience is preferred

Machine Operator experience is required

Mechanical skills

Skill Requirements

Ability to read and/or verbally understand and follow directions, read and write in English, operate a forklift and other job-related equipment/machinery safely.
