Description:

Your career is an investment that grows over time!

Wealthsimple is on a mission to help everyone achieve financial freedom by reimagining what it means to manage your money.

Using smart technology, we take financial services that are often confusing, opaque and expensive and make them transparent and low-cost for everyone.

We’re the largest fintech company in Canada, with over 3 million users who trust us with more than $30 billion in assets.

Our teams ship often and make an impact with groundbreaking ideas.

We're looking for talented people who keep it simple and value collaboration and humility as we continue to create inclusive and high-performing teams where people can be inspired to do their best work.

We are hiring for two positions: 1.

Self-directed Investing / Brokerage: One role will contribute to driving the growth of one of our largest business verticals, Self-Directed Investing, spanning across our stocks, options, crypto and margin product lines.

If you apply for this position, financial/investing experience - whether at a fintech or a more traditional player- is a big plus.

2.

Banking (Cash) & Loyalty Programs: One role will contribute to driving the growth of our everyday money (spending & savings) products, like Cash and provide an exceptional offering for our higher net worth Premium and Generation clients.

If you apply for this position, banking or credit card experience - whether at a fintech or a more traditional player - is a big plus.

About the Role We are looking for a client-obsessed Product Marketing Manager to support our Product Marketing Lead on efforts across multiple product lines.

Product Marketing is responsible for taking product features and launches and building them into cohesive narratives and integrated campaigns delivered across marketing and in-product surfaces, while also connecting with clients to share back what is working and what other opportunities exist.

We build connected go-to-market strategies, explore our next opportunities, and build and maintain cross-functional relationships to influence change in our business.

You'll bring a passionate growth oriented mindset to help execute campaigns in this regard - working cross-functionally to bring the right value proposition, positioning, messaging, channel strategy and growth plans to life.

You’ll work directly with a Product Marketing Lead on some of our most critical and innovative initiatives, interfacing cross-functionally with other teams from Product Management, User Experience, Growth, Brand, Data Science, Engineering, Legal, and more.

What you'll do day to day:

Support on our biggest Go-To-Market initiatives: ensuring that the launch runs smoothly by managing the executional details across multiple stakeholders. This includes managing legal reviews, collaborating with stakeholders as we build positioning into marketing materials across all touchpoints, ensuring our data science teams are set up to track the success of our campaign, and summarizing & sharing out results.

Lead smaller Go-To-Market initiatives: learn the ropes and gain experience in forming the launch strategy for your own campaigns, from shaping positioning and go-to-market plans, to leading execution across all teams and touchpoints.

Drive more client insights: develop and execute client research initiatives, and dive into our internal data to find patterns and growth opportunities, and then champion those learnings across relevant teams to drive action. Become the voice of our clients and trusted advisor to inform product positioning, brand differentiation, content creation and external communications.

Lead new experiments: design, execute and track results for new experiments (we love to find scrappy ways to test if a bigger bet is worth making) aimed at suggesting ways to change our fundamental product and marketing operations.

Help us develop a deeper understanding of the market and ecosystem (including clients, competitors, policymakers, news media, and the government) by taking on regular market and competitor scans.

About you:

5+ years of experience in marketing in technology organizations that have experienced hyper-growth.

For the Investing/Brokerage role, your experience in the finance/investing industry - either at a fintech or a more traditional player - will give you a big leg up.

For the Banking (Cash) & Loyalty Programs role, your experience in a banking or credit card industry - whether at a fintech or a more traditional player - will give you a big leg up.

You’re a great cross-functional collaborator who brings out the best in others, enabling them to do their most impactful work.

You have a demonstrated track record of developing go-to-market plans, helping to shape positioning, and working to bring that positioning from theoretical (in a doc) to practical (on a surface).

You are comfortable diving into client behaviour data to find pockets of demand and growth, and manage campaign results to assess impact and incrementality, as well as make recommendations as to how these results should shape future actions.

You are capable of managing interdepartmental relationships, ensuring that all stakeholders are working off the latest/updated information, that their questions are answered quickly, and that they are delivering on their plans on time and in a coordinated fashion across channels.

You are detail oriented, ensuring that all marketing materials produced (by yourself and by others) are accurate and aligned with the overall positioning of the product or feature.

You have experience in tech companies where customer and data insights guide your decisions.

You bring qualitative analytical abilities and are familiar with A/B testing.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment with a bias towards action.

You go above and beyond to seek out growth opportunities for the business, for your discipline, and for yourself.

You are a challenger. You don’t take things at face value and questions status-quo assumptions like “well, we’ve always done it this way” or “someone is doing it this way, so…” because you're constantly looking to optimize and level up both the business and those around you.

You have an optimistic mindset and default to “Challenge or problem? Good. Let me find an opportunity to solve it”.
