As Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will focus on ensuring that Partners Group’s cloud infrastructure enables solutions to be implemented with ease. You will lead the design, deployment and optimization of secure cloud services and environments with the highest levels of availability, security, automation and reliability.
You will have the following responsibilities:
Engineer:
Design, develop, implement and maintain a multi account AWS cloud infrastructure and relevant services using best practices and industry standards
Deploy and manage configuration, monitor the health and performance of provisioned cloud infrastructure services
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS cloud environments, applications and deployments
Support building and optimizing deployment pipelines applying agile methodologies, scalable architecture best practices and rigid security standards throughout a continuous integration and continuous delivery process
Participate and support the transition of existing on-premise infrastructure to AWS cloud services
Conduct research and testing on new AWS features and solutions and propose improvements and enhancements
Champion the further adoption of DevSecOps across IT teams
Automate:
Automate infrastructure and orchestrate workloads across cloud platforms with the development of scripts and coding
Advise and support the implementation of infrastructure-as-code to further automate the provisioning of cloud enabled workloads
Build automation capabilities by designing, deploying and maintaining CI/CD tooling and DevSecOps best practices for release, deployment and configuration management
Support & Collaborate
Provide guidance and support to junior AWS engineers and other team members on AWS cloud technologies and tools
Closely collaborate and support business application development teams, ensuring their adherence to cloud application architecture design guidelines and deployment standards
What we expect
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Systems and/or Computer Science or related quantitative field
Demonstrated experience as a Cloud DevOps Engineer, preferably in the financial industry and international setting (7+ years experience in a similar role)
Strong practical understanding of cloud architecture covering areas such as security, scalability, resilience and cost
Solid experience and proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipeline tooling (Terraform, Gitlab)
Solid knowledge of cloud native development and serverless computing
Solid knowledge of networking concepts
Solid understanding and practical experience of SDLC processes and Agile methodologies as well as ITSM/ITIL
Strong skills in personal organization, prioritization, project management and complex problem solving
Strong interpersonal skills who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
Strong presentation skills and ability to present and sell her/his ideas/projects to senior stakeholders
Relevant Industry certifications would be advantageous (AWS, Terraform, Gitlab, etc.)
Desired:
Good know-how of Active Directory and Microsoft stack (mainly Windows Server)
Azure Cloud and Entra ID know-how and experience
VMware Sphere know-how and experience
