Job Description
Triumph Brewing Company of New Hope is seeking a passionate Sous Chef with excellent knife skills with the ability to mentor a kitchen staff. As a Sous Chef & Mentor, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in creating menus and developing new recipes
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure that they are skilled in all areas of food preparation, presentation and safety
- Lead by example and maintain a positive attitude at all times
- Work with the Executive Chef to manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipe and presentation standards
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create a safe and efficient work environment
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in a high-volume kitchen
- A passion for culinary arts and a desire to mentor and train others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends
