Hardware Engineer

Essential Experience & Skills:

Understanding of substation SLDs, Concepts of C&P Cubicles

Hands on experience in design and detailing of SLDs, C&P cubicles - GA, layout, cable loops, cable tray layout, IO Engineering, Manufacturing drawings, BOM

Tool (Preferably eBase) Experience: Structure set-up, understanding of editing guidelines, advanced SXF/SWG import, cabiner layout and routing, revision management. And advanced data tracking, overview of advanced typical manager, accessory wizard, editing mass data with SMart-Excel

Interface engineering (process level to bay level) - Power cable, control cable interfacing,

Primary Engg. - Substation-level: Overall Substation Layout, Civil, Structural, Earthing - Detailing, drafting - 2D and 3D AutoCAD

Develop documents/deliverables such as Signal List & Interface Closing, Structure of cables & Projects, BoQ, Equipment list, Cabling Design Specification, Cable Loops, Cable spider & Cable list

Hands on experience in producing documents for HW FAT (Panel FAT) - related philosophy & check sheets

Awareness of applicable regional standards (US, UK, Europe, India)

Good to have experience & skills:

Degree in Electrical Engineering

Masters in Power System engineering preferred for Protection engineers.

Experience in Renewables and/or HVAC substations projects

Experience on Siemens protection equipment’s (preferably SIPROTEC 4 & 5 and related cubicles)

Design/good understanding of protection schemes covering all AC substation equipment’s (Transformer, Power Cables, GIS, Switchgear, LVAC & LVDC, UPS, Battery Bank..)

CT/VT and Control Cable sizing calculation
