Location: Tracy, CA

Summary:

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our plant equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of mechanical and electrical skills, with a proactive and professional approach to problem-solving.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Examine machinery for defects and diagnose electrical and mechanical problems.

Repair machinery, mechanical equipment, and computerized systems according to blueprints, manuals, or manufacturer’s specifications.

Perform preventative maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of equipment and machinery.

Work on PLC controls, VFD drives, and instrumentation.

Maintain tools and test equipment in good working condition.

Order and requisition parts and materials accurately.

Analyze and resolve work problems, providing assistance to other workers as needed.

Change job specifications and direct machine setup and adjustments.

Follow safety guidelines and report any work-related injuries promptly.

Maintain maintenance paperwork accurately throughout the shift.

Update maintenance standards summary to increase efficiency.

Respond to radio requests, emails, and voice messages, solving problems and informing the Maintenance Manager of activities.

Collaborate with other departments regarding equipment and quality concerns.

Support Maintenance Manager and assist other departments as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School education or equivalent work experience.

Previous experience in a Food Processing environment.

Ability to read, speak, and comprehend instructions and effectively present information.

Solid analytical skills, self-motivation, and ability to work well with others.

Ability to perform primary responsibilities satisfactorily.

Experience with PLC, VFD drives, and Electrical preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

High-level technician with Formax F26 Patty Machine experience.

Two to five years’ experience with Meat Processing.

Bilingual in Spanish/English.

Work Environment:

Refrigerated production environment with temperatures between 30 to 50 degrees.

Moderate to loud noise level.
