What you will be doing -

Works with Onshore Tech Leads to ensure that assigned work is completed efficiently, meets business requirements, stays within scope, and is delivered on time

Plays a key role in resolving technical roadblocks involving mainframe technologies.

Responsible for building new / enhance mainframe Cobol programs / JCLs, use mainframe utilizes tools to complete the tasks,

Run mainframe batch jobs, monitor and trouble shoot any roadblocks with the batch processes in collaboration with the onshore project leads

Continually improve quality of the deliverables

Ensures code reviews, unit testing and integration testing is completed efficiently and effectively.

Assisting in the identification, isolation, resolution and communication of problems within the production environment

What you bring -

Minimum of 5 to 7 + years of experience with Mainframe technologies – Cobol, JCL, VSAM, DB2 & Mainframe utilities & tools

Experience with working collaboratively using Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodology

Experience with Linux / shell scripts / regular expressions are preferred

Experience working with BFSI project is preferred

Skills –

Qualifications -

A bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Competencies

Fluent in English.

Excellent communicator – ability to discuss technical & business requirements with Clients and Internal teams based at onshore & India locations

Attention to detail – track record of authoring high quality documentation.

Organized approach – manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements.

Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team.
